Corpus Christi Holy Rosary Students in Port Chester Get Festive at “Breakfast with Santa”

The students of Corpus Christi Holy Rosary from pre-k through grade 8 along with family and friends attended the school’s annual “Breakfast with Santa” event on Dec. 6. At the event, students participated in activities that included face painting, coloring, raffles, music and of course breakfast where the students were entertained by a magician. Have a news tip? Rally Seeking Even Justice Hosted by Port Chester and Rye NAACP

The Port Chester and Rye Branch of the NAACP, clergy and other concerned residents of Port Chester and Rye are hosting a peaceful rally to coincide with the March on Washington on Dec. 13 at 2 p.m. In a press release, the NAACP announced, “Many residents feel frustrated with recent events that give rise to the perception that justice is not evenly distributed. This will be an opportunity for residents to show solidarity in a peaceful manner.”

Gang Member Arrested in Port Chester After FBI Raid

According to the paper, an indictment unsealed by the U.S. Attorney’s office charged 13 people with various charges including murder, conspiracy to commit murder, weapons sales and racketeering dating back to 2008. Gang member Anthony “Red” Ford was arrested in Port Chester, the paper reports.

Woman Tries To Stab Family Member During Dispute, Greenwich Police Say

A 25-year-old Port Chester, N.Y., woman is facing charges of attempting to stab a family member with a small kitchen knife during a dispute Tuesday morning at a Pemberwick residence, Greenwich police said. Officers were called to the 17 Arther St. home shortly after 9 a.m. on a report that a woman had grabbed a knife and tried to stab another family member in the neck during a domestic dispute, police said.

Heavy Rains and Severe Winds Expected in Port Chester

A wind advisory has been issued until 7 p.m. Winds speeds of around 26 mph and gusts of up to 40 mph are expected late afternoon into the evening.The NWS has also stated that a flood watch remains in effect until later tonight with rain between a tenth and a quarter of an inch. A flood advisory is in effect today till 1:15 p.m. and a coastal flood warning is in effect until 2 p.m. Residents are advised to take precautions while driving and not drive into areas where water is covering the roadway.
