New York State has been awarded approximately $25 million in funding from the U.S. Department of Education to support pre-k programs in New York City, Yonkers, Uniondale, Indian River and Port Chester. Gang Member Arrested in Port Chester After FBI Raid

A 25-year-old Port Chester, N.Y., woman is facing charges of attempting to stab a family member with a small kitchen knife during a dispute Tuesday morning at a Pemberwick residence, Greenwich police said. Officers were called to the 17 Arther St. home shortly after 9 a.m. on a report that a woman had grabbed a knife and tried to stab another family member in the neck during a domestic dispute, police said.

A wind advisory has been issued until 7 p.m. Winds speeds of around 26 mph and gusts of up to 40 mph are expected late afternoon into the evening.The NWS has also stated that a flood watch remains in effect until later tonight with rain between a tenth and a quarter of an inch.
