Good food is an integral part of the very fabric of Granit Balidemaj ‘s life, having grown up in the kitchen at Alba’s, an Italian restaurant in Port Chester, N.Y. But at the age of 24, the Greenwich resident is stepping out from the comfort of a back-of-the-house kitchen by opening his own catering company, Granit Events & Catering . “At a restaurant, when you’re cooking, you’re back there in the kitchen, and it’s more distant,” said Balidemaj.

Snow, Sleet Possible Overnight In Port Chester

After enduring a dreary, rainy and gray Saturday, Westchester County residents may have to cope with snow and sleet overnight, the National Weather Service said. The rain will continue until about 1 a.m., with a chance of snow and sleet between 1 and 4 a.m. in the northern part of Westchester County.
